Yeh cleared all the rusty patches off and they are like new. Strengthened all the spot welds by seam welding the crossmember with gas torch, then migged the back of the turrets where they rot and also beefed up other welds with the mig!!!
Boy is it tough now. I thinks i'm going to box in the wishbones now after seeing those altezza ones.
Cheers Adam

ditto your comments foggy!
I was learning to weld here at a college in manchester in the evenings but had to give ti up coz of tto much uni work
hpfly next year I'll do the course again.,.
COOL work Adam! I like part where you have seam welded along the old welds to strengthen....
Ive got a rear suspension I was to recondition... and your post got me thinking... basically... is it a good idea to put new seam welds along and over the old joins/ welds in the suspension after its all clean of rust.?? afterwards you paint it all...
Where did you get the sandblasting done?
cheers
Shimon
Enjoy your 300s

Yeh its good to renew the welds as most parts are only neatly welded to hold them not for strength.
My mate has a compressor and sandblasting equipment so we made a good mess outside his house!!!! lol

I started welding when I was about 12. I can now use mig, arc, tig, gas and even plastic welding! It is very handy, the only problem is when you can do it well it bugs you seeing poor welds.

looks great Adam (as usual),
rather than risk damaging all your new paintwork using these untested parts, why not fit all these fantastic modified parts to my redline and i will "long term " test them for you lol
