heavy steering

Post by brad360 » 09 Aug 2006 04:40 am

After 18 months I got tired of looking at my steering wheel being 30 degrees clockwise of where it should be, i also needed a wheel balance.

so i had an alignment and balance, $A45, probably a bit less than 20 pounds. How does that compare with elsewhere?

Funny thing: the steering feels lighter.

Am I imagining this? Or could they have loosened or lubricated something?

If your alignment was out the steering would probably feel heavy because you are constantly fighting against the way the car wants to pull
on top of which the wheels not being aligned meant they were also pulling or pushing against each other which would also make the steering feel heavier still ,
glad its all sorted now prices in the uk can be up to £50.00 on the computerised tracking machines we have
