wheel bearing on volvo 360 2.0i

Post by ralphh85 » 14 Oct 2007 12:04 pm

Hi, im looking in to a wheel bearing change on the above volvo, when we drive it makes a rough noise from the back of the car, but when it goes round right hand bends the noise goes away, when jacked up the right hand wheel sounds a bit rough when you spin it, how ever it does not have any play in it, is this the wheel bearing?

is there any special tooling required to change it? i do not have any presses or anything, and wondering if its a hole job or a case of taking it to the garage?

thanks
Ralph

There is a special puller to split the hub. And you really wont do a rear bearing without a press.
