Ali I think postage will be aprox £10 for the pair of springs. They lower 40mm from NEW standard ride hight, they are stiffer than stock, I don't know the rateing as I got them second hand.
On the subject of the rear end I fitted SPAX shocks made to my design ( I am a spax aproved fitting centre) They have realy stiffend the rear end up, with the weight of the LPG tank in there you really struggle to push the rear end down at all and thats only on the middle setting. The only problem is not everyone will spend the £120 on a pair.
I am also looking at making front ones but these are going to cost aprox £200 a pair.
James the ARB link rod bushes are my own brand NOT available from anyone else. I can also get front wishbone bushes. I have also posted in the tuning section looking for people to put there name down for rear bushes, no intrest so far
I have already developed a full range for the volvo PV444/544 some amazon/P1800 140, 200, 300 and 700/900.
I have woked in the plastics industry for a long time.
As to the link rods I'll try and price them up in the next couple of weeks.

I'm looking to get to work on the suspension, and in principle I'm not bothered by that cost...as long as it's right. The same for polybushes...what is the approximate cost?

I'm interested too, but not at the moment. I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild ATM. I'm also looking into fitting megasquirt, so have got alot on my plate.
I've also had the wishbones out in the past when I changed the front suspension top mounting rubbers. They look awfully difficult to get out, particularly if you don't have the presses to do it.

Dai - I mis-read, sorry. The powerflex ones are the main ARB bushes, not the ones for the link-rods. This could be VERY useful, as all four of my link-rod bushes are totally shot.
Andrew makes a good point though - just how do you fit them?!
cheers

Yes we do seem to be talking about different things. I know the bush you are on about. I did find mine nasty to remove I ended up burning it out, then cleaning the houseing with sand paper! The poly replacment was not to bad to fit about 3 atempts on the first side with a big G clamp and then first go on the other side both with with the frame still on the car.

I'm just about to kill my brother! After asking him if he had moved the lowering spring I could not find he said he had not seen it. So I spent most of the weekend looking for it. Last night he suddenly rememberd throwing it for SCRAP
What on earth will I do with the IDIOT. Anyone who wants a give him a good slap is more than welcome.
Ali i'm sorry but if you want I can get new spings made at a fair price, just tell me what engine/year/mods and lowering you want.

Ahhh bugger, not to worry mate, mine is an F reg (1988) 1.4 DL, do you think its worth getting same length stiffer springs made up to keep insurance friendly or is it unlikely to stop bodyroll/improve handling. Not sure if lowering the rear on blocks is going to make any difference just by lowering the centre of gravity. What drop do you think is most suitable, 40mm seems to be the most common but maybe less is better as im keeping standard shocks?

I would suggest about an inch (25mm) lower with around 140-150lbs rating for the front. on the rear I would fit about the same(25mm) and use a pair of SPAX to stiffen things up. My car has been lowered aprox 60mm front and has extreamly stiff spring but on the rear it is standard height with a pair of spax for stiffness. You might be best giving me a call.

If you're on a budget, I'd advise leaving the springs as they are and fitting stiff shocks.

Dai, you gonna be able to get hold of these bits for a while? I think I might well be getting some August time if they are still around
