Need upgraded front shocks.
Need upgraded front shocks.
Lowerd my mk2 by 80mm but now my shocks are to soft, does enyone have eny good advice for me? Are ther eny type of shock`s that fit bolt on on my mk2 that are harder then original ones?
Re: Need upgraded front shocks.
Me too. Only I've not been looking too hard as i've got no money right now.
Refilling the stock dampers with thicker oil is popular, if you didn't know. This assumes you have the original non-insert dampers still there.
There were some gas ones about somewhere that were said to be a bit of an upgrade.
Dai on here sells fully adjustable ones, but they're not cheap.
Somewhere out there there'll be a car that uses the exact same damper dimensions (or close enough to modify to fit)... It's the holy grail. I don't imagine anyone's found it yet or we'd all be going "get a pair of uprated XXXXX shocks, cheap, stiff, and they fit".
One day.

Re: Need upgraded front shocks.
iv herd of a few drift forumes that some of the landrover shocks fit and are stiffer but im struggling to find out what landrover there from as im in the same situation. il post it up on hear if i find out though
Re: Need upgraded front shocks.
dais stuff is top notch, i assume youve gone the way of cutting springs rather than getting dais' uprated and lowering set? id personally recommend doing it the proper way to be safe!
ive a set of KYBs gas on the front of mine, and gabriel red ryders on the back. I do have a set of 200lb springs to fit on the 360 when i get round to it.
as for landrover shocks IIRC you want to look for a set of LR90 (defender)rear shocks, the ones with the threaded top and bottom mounts. Id also look for a set of used ones! as fully new un used set (not that expensive) are mega hard for something as light as a 360 (compared to a fully laden 90)
