Wheel adaptors...

Post by Nosher » 30 May 2011 06:01 pm

right...

i have found a set of porsche cookie cutters going cheap, and want to fit them on my 340 as ive never seen it done before.

i can get hold of some 4x100 - 5x130 hub adaptors so the studs and nuts etc are fine.
the only issue is, they are vw fitment and the centre bore is 57.1.
the volvo centre bore is 52 IIRC...

i assume i will need these to match as having them uneven would mean that surely the adaptors would not fit correctly, and therefore would create lotsa wheel wobble...

do they make spigot rings for wheel adaptors?
if not, would i have to get them made up?

cheers,
Alfie

I've never bothered with spigot rings, just concentrate when you put your wheels on and use tapered nuts.

fair play...

just dont want any un-necessary wheel wobble...

im guessing porsche cookie cutter wheels havent been done on a 340 before then?

cheers!
