I heard someone say that MR2 springs fit a 300 strut, is this true? I take it that the Outside diameter would be the same. Thing is if they do fit standard ones will be too soft as theres no weight at the front of an MR2?
Can someone either tell if im talking bollocks and I've dreamt it or tell me it can be done lol!

youve got to be right about the weight issue like. id never considered that before.
Re: Springs
MR2 has even weight like the 300, but I think it's lighter.
MR2
Curb weight 1070-1100kgs depending on exact setup.
300 all around 1000Kg's +- 50
MR2 has near perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
300 has near perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
They'll appear a bit stiffer on the 300 than on the MR2 since the 300 is lighter.. YES! WTF???
If they fit..

Re: Springs
I remember reading somewhere that the rear MR2 springs are used. I'd get the dimensions from the manufacturer or dealer just to be sure.

Have you corner weighted one? I'm struggling to see how a car where *everything* is just in front of the rear axle can be 50/50 by a stretch.CBA wrote:MR2 has near perfect 50/50 weight distribution.
