Removing front suspension strut

How do i do it exactly?

Can see the 3 nuts in the bay have to come off, am i correct in thinking ive gota split the balljoint etc?

The only balljoint you have to split is the track rod end. You can undo the nuts and bolts that attach the other balljoint to the wishbone, this way it will come off wiht the leg. Other than that you have the 3 bolts on the topmount and the caliper to remove from the hub carrier. This will alow you to completely remove the leg from the car.

If you remove the Anti roll bar drop links this will give you more movement in the wishbone and make it a lot easyer to remove the leg.

obv get the caliper off first, then like the guy says track rod end ball joints gotta come off, along with the bottom ball joint, then the top three turret bolts the ones you mentioned in the engine bay, you should be free then. The whole hub/disc assembely will come off. Bare in mind you'll need some big muscles and leverage to hand, mainly for removing/refitting the bottom ball joint. And if your changing springs you'll need an air wrench of some sort to remove the center nut on the strut (the one in the middle of the three turret bolts :shock: ) as it likes to spin. good luck!
