Can you grab some photos when you get it dude, I can't find any.

I'm starting to learn I don't have time to make things anymore, so if something exists on the shelf that I was planning anyway it'd be silly not too!

I'm quite interested in 5 link but would love to do it my self. Been looking into loads of suspension stuff recently :)

Quick rack would be cool, I imagine parking would be more difficult though?

I'm normally one to have a go at things myself, but that 5-link setup sure looks complicated! haha.
What coilover units for a start?

The coilovers are an F1 Moto secret, I asked too lol. (I'm just gonna have Nev supply those also.) IIRC he said he would have to copy the setup from his grey 340, so not even sure if the 5 link kit is for sale as such atm? Same with the rack mods, he requested that I not share out his design/R&D work, and I will honour it tbh.

Sorry!

Doing it yourself would be cool, but I don't know the first thing about it, plus this saves time! As I said to him via phone or text, fair play for the engineering work he is putting into these cars. Raising the bar you may say! 8)

Sorry, not the coilovers I'm interested in. Quick rack is the bit I am, mainly if the rack has the track rod ball joint centres in the same place as the 340 ones!

I meant the rack as well as the suspension Chris, just what I have been asked. You can't blame the bloke tbh. As for your question, I will check, would imagine it's very similar to begin with though!

Yeah, that's fair enough then. Bit of a shame as I've tried to navigate his website but nothing there either.

With custom stuff, without seeing it I'm not prepared to just hand over money blind :(

Nev's work has inspire me no end. If I had the money, I would have done everything that he's done to his 340 (suspension, rack etc) to mine. I'm planning on designing a watt's link rear set-up for my final year uni project. that or a carbon fibre prop shaft. Time will tell!

Liam good on you for going for the rack!! How much was it if you don't mind me asking? I've chatted with Nev via text too, nice bloke, eager to help out.

F1 Moto's in west kingsdown, about 500yards up the same road from the entrance to brands hatch :D Good to see your getting in there liam, when you see it and put it on you'll love it! I've seen it all first hand, i used to work there  I did have a mk1 fiesta when i started, only took 2 weeks till the fiesta was gone and i had acquired a volvo lol

Chris, i get what your saying about his website, its crap with regards to his volvo drifting stuff/parts, apart from his bike stuff, but a new one is currently being created. :D

Here's a pic of the quick-rack:

If you want pics of the front/rear coilovers, link set-up, its all in here, and you can see how awesome the stuff looks! I've got a set of the front coilovers for mine, and will go to a 6-link later in the year. Its definately worth the money, go cold turkey from the pubs for a month and order a set! 8)

That's just what I needed bud, thanks.

has both pics of the mounts and column extension. Rack mounts look *very* nice quality as does the laser cut stuff a few pages before. Just my worry about bump steer now, and a chat with him about how the column is connected, I see welderising in that thread, but must be a solution to that.

Was gonna say Chris, he said that all the pics of the stuff is in his SR360 build thread, so must be happy to share those pics. I dunno the in's and out's of it all. Glad you're sorted though. I must admit, I forgot to ask how the rack attaches to the column, it was queued up in the list of questions in my head.

Jon, it's £450 for the lot mate, He mentioned the CNC machined alloy mounts were something mental like £160 or more. Escort rack (modified) is £150, then rack extenders, and I am sure something else. It is a lot of money, but if it transforms the car and just fits straight on then I am all for it. I wouldn't know where to start with sussing all of that out, so in that respect I am more than happy to pay Nev for the convenience, plus it's a proven setup.

I know that to get my car anywhere near useable for the fine weather this year then it will involve buying/sending off a lot of work. So be it. I just wanna drive the thing again!

I get a lot a prototype bits made with work, and 4 bits with that machining for £40 each is roughly what I'd expect tbh. If you could get me those ball joint dimensions bud it'd be much appreciated, I'm still pretty certain the 300 dimensions are "wrong", but even the crazy dutch know more about it than me so I must be missing something!
