165/50 15's on 7J rims?

Post by Nimminz » 21 Mar 2012 11:37 pm

I've arranged to buy a set of ATS cups in 15x7. Now they come with tyres in the size 165/50 15

Now that sounds like some mad stretch to me?

What I'm wondering is how they will compare to the overall diameter of my 185/60 14s on leos which are 5.5 J IIRC

Tried using this: http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html but it wouldn't take into account stretch

195/50 15s will be purchased if these are no good.

Cheers,
Matt

Yeah that's going to be fairly mad! Probably not legal either, at least by VOSA standards. I'd like to see it though! Take some pictures when you get them.

http://tyrestretch.com/

Have a search through that. I've had a look, and it doesn't look like a stupid stretch, though they are a little bit.

Thing I've found with tyre stretch is it depends a lot on the tyre design, nankangs always look more stretched than the rest!
