Hi all, I need a new top mount bearing. Any ideas where I could get hold of one?

AFAIK, Robbert and the V3C are looking into having these done on an exchange basis, but I don't know how far they have got. I think you need to look for some used ones for the moment ...

Cheers

you can order new ones at www.dafhobby.nl, it's a SKF part so all you need is the bearing code really

My local bearing shop in soton got them in for me bud, you can get the part number from SKF co's website, or I think I posted it on here.

SKF VKD35012
This is the bearing only - not the complete top mount.

Get from:-

Any good bearing supplier under the SKF number,
ECP under part no.669750010
Skandix under part no. 101858

Argh, I was thinking of the strut top mount. Sorry for the confusion! I ordered those SKF bearings not long ago myself, IIRC they fit other cars too.

Cheers

My local bearing supplier and autofactors couldnt get them in (They could just be shit) but order mine from http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/ they were pretty cheap compared to what the larger autofactors 50 miles away wanted.

The bearings can be ordered from pretty much any local place, including Volvo!
The strut mounts are still in development but I am still looking for worn originals to keep cost down.

I think ECP do them, but was not obvious from the description, I posted on it a while back. Had an SKF part number.
