vario 340 1.4 brake pressure switch

Post by thejackal01 » 20 Apr 2013 10:16 pm

driving home from work tonight and car drove normal then revs pick up while cruising. ....

i hit the brake pedal and go back to throttle as normal and revs go back to normal.??

just done it couple more times just now and revs drop to normal everytime... could this be the brake pressure switch at fault??

and is there a part number for this item?? is the switch the one on the bottom of the servo unit??

any help would be great. thanks guys

no, this indicates that the fault is most likely in the tachometric relay; as the revs pick up under normal driving, not on driving off after braking. take the tachometric relay apart and carefully check the bigger solder islands (of the relay), if any of them looks cracked; resolder it.
