Hi there,
I'm going to be using lowering blocks for the rear and lowering springs on the front of my 340 shortly.
I am wanting to upgrade the shocks too so wondering what shocks from what cars people have found that fit the 340. I hear front defender shocks fit the rear?
Thanks,
Jamie

Re: Lowering Volvo 340 - Shocks
Land Rover front shocks have close to the same open/closed length as 340 rear and will fit in place. However the valving is way off for what the 300 needs at the rear.

Yep the fronts off a 110 have close dimensions and end fittings. Commonly used for drift cars but hopeless on the road.

Re: Lowering Volvo 340 - Shocks
Why are they typically used for drift cars not road?
Are they to stiff?
Are they to stiff?
Re: Lowering Volvo 340 - Shocks
Because they are for a 2 ton off roader not an 1100kg saloon/hatch so yes they are stiff
