Post by Gaball » 18 Oct 2013 01:30 pm

Hey all,

does anyone know where i can pickup a couple of the leaf springs for the rear?
or is it a case of breakers only?

Cheers

My suspension seems to have dropped on one side, changed the dampers so no better so im assuming the spring has been deformed from sideways abuse

they do look a lil warped from looking at them but the drivers is definitely a different shape

I have 2 360s and the leaf springs on each are different one looks like this - P and the other is kind of ? shaped on the end where it meets the rear hanger.

Whats the difference between the two?

If the loop is not closed around the bush then it suggest the spring is damaged

They are both closed round the bush,it just seems that there are two different types.I've also noticed this on pics of other peoples cars.I should really take some pictures.

Are you sure you arn't looking at the front and rear of the spring? Sorry for the big pic, you can't see the difference of the ends in a smaller version

I've only looked at the back ends of the springs. These pics are taken of the rear of both cars.Does this mean that one of the cars has the springs fitted the wrong way?If so can you please tell me which is the right way round.

Open end at the front (under the rear seat) question mark at the rear (under the boot) from memory (and looking at the impact on the bent spring in my pic and remembering the crash), but check pictures in the green books!

you can't fit the springs wrong way around as the centering point for the axle isn't located in the center of the leafspring.
