Front dampers

Post by emyrdal » 25 Nov 2013 09:09 pm

This question has probably bin asked a thousand times but i couldnt find an aswer anywhere so i'll just ask.

I'm going to change my front dampers, and i wonder how i get them out of the sylinder? are they screwed in place or just push-in? im replacing with the spax dampers from Dai, btw. oh and it's a 86 344 1998cc (if that sort of thing matters.)

Cheers :)

You need to undo the big top nut on the strut case and then just pull everything out and tip the oil out.
