Stabiliser bar diameter

For a future project I am looking for the diameter of the stabiliser bar over the years.
I've discovered that they used several diameters throughout, so I am looking for the following diameters:
343 1976-1979
343 1980-1982 (B14)
340 1983-1985
340 1986-1991

343/345 (B19) 1980-1982
360 1983-1985
360 1986-1988
360 1989-

Can anyone help me?

Which stabiliser bar RJ? Front axle, or rear anti tramp bar.

I'm thinking front ARB Chris. The bar at the back is labelled "reaction rod"

343 1976-1979

Service Manual - 66-343 - New Features 1978 (TP11991/1) says:

Stabilizer
The diameter of the stabilizer has been reduced from 21mm to 20mm.

Nothing in my New features 1979 (TP12512/1)
Nothing in my New features 1980 (valid up to Jan. 1980) (TP35017/1)

Service Manual - 340 - Springs, shock absorbers and wheels 1976-19..(TP35091/1) says:

Stabilizer
Rod diameter (mm)
B14 (up to 1977), 21
B14 (from 1977), 20
B19, 23

That's all I can find out at the minute.

21 is about correct for 76, that is what I measured on my car.

I have a Y plated (82/83) GLS ARB I took from a donor a year or 2 back after having read the Green Book macplaxton is referring too, was intrigued to see of it would help with my extra engine weight whilst it still having "340" style mounts.

I'm away atm, but pester me, I have that and the 89MY 1.7 still fitted to the car I can measure.

I have mine off at the moment for painting. Just measured it and it came in at 23mm. It is off my 1983 360 b19a.

Was thinking the new D bushings looked a bit on the small side.

What do you mean with D bushings?

The two D shaped mounting rubber/PU things that hold the bar.

The inner arb bushings. We call them D bushings. I ordered the wrong ones without realising it. Will have to return them for the correct size. Very glad I saw this post.
