stud spacing

Post by benji1985 » 28 Jan 2016 04:57 pm

Hello all, Just a quick question. In prep for the big restore coming up I will be taking the rear axle apart, but to do this i will need to hold the hub still to undo the big shaft bolt. i have aquired a long flat steel bar today, so wanted to put 2 or 3 holes in it and bolt it to the hub to hold it still.
Does anyone know the diagonal distance between the studs and the distance between the studs next to each other, so i can drill the holes, and the diameter of the stud?

Thank you

Ben

I just used a crowbar inbetween 2 studs with the other end resting on the ground.

Thank you, I have the strip of metal almost for free, so might as well use it.
