I've heard about rear lowering blocks for the rear leaf springs before, which aren't expensive - I think around the £40 mark. There is a post about uprated adjustable shocks around somewhere on here before, there are definitely a few options.

http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pages/sbv ... 1&User=NFS (for 340/343)

(for 360)

That page has springs which lowers 40mm. For front only though. For rear you need to get blocks between the axle and spring or you can have made new leafs which lowers the car.

lowering a 1986 340 1.4
...is silly, primarily because:

* The 1.4 (well, 1397) is a piss weak engine.

* People will laugh at you.

Just my thoughts. :D

"lowering a 1986 340 1.4 "

Let the tyres down.

Really it`s a bit of a pointless exercise - with no benefit that I can see.

How young exactly?
Because I know personally that by the age of 13 I had a very firm grasp of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Also, this isn't a text message, there is no limit to the number of letters you can use!

"oi lay off him if he wants to lower his car let him"

I personally am not a great fan of modifying cars, but if that floats yer boat then so be it.

Why not do something that actually improves the car though......

Any suggestions for the price of a lowering kit?

OK, im 18, an A Level student from London which may explain my gramatical errors.
My sincere apologies for those who cannot understand the short cuts, it is just a bit quicker to type cnt rather than cannot. Don't you agree?

Anyway, thanks for the advice guys...appreciate it :P

What sort of modifications will improve the car?
I am no pro so im jus going by your word really...i didnt think that lowering would have an adverse effect on the running of the car
