Re: drift suspension
hey salmon, do u know exactly what is on my car as i dont have a clue. been told shocks and springs on the front. lowered at the back unsure of dampers etc.
Re: drift suspension
Have a look - you'll be able to tell what's on the rear just by having a crawl underneath. Obviously fronts will be harder to determine...

hmm dont know too well i know yours is lowered 2" rear on i think 3" on the front adn think its standard shocks on the rear possibly gas fronts not too sure i didnt spend too much time with it most time on the soarer when i was at his. but thats what i think it was or was told ask bennie? or we're meant to be coming down to you at some point to drop off some bits for you to do or something and pick up my exhaust so could always ask him then?

Re: drift suspension
ok cool. yeah the car will be coming apart for the rebuild, cage etc and 16v running over 200hp. so will get a look then, just wanted to see if any1 knew already then i can budget for extra suspension bits if need be. want a decent setup really seing as could be running between 200-240hp depending on my budget.
any1 know of decent brake upgrades. cheers

Re: drift suspension
clio williams f7r 2l engine. 12-1 high comp pistons and con rods, port and polish head, kent cams, webber 45dcoe carbs.
manifold-exhaust,
engine was already running around 180bhp with head, cams and hill power ecu stg2 . dcoes plus high comp bottom end should see well over 220.
just hope transmission is up to the job. any1 know if i could get a rwd gearbox that mounts to the f7r block. thinkin of changing the rear end to mk2 escort setup running atlas lsd axle plus 5 link. if possible.

Re: drift suspension
Given the revvy nature of the F7R I should think the box will be fine at those power levels, as long as it's in good condition. The diff may struggle though, but just don't go spinning one wheel, with that power both should be spinning most of the time. Changing to a front gearbox is a lot more work than checking and rebuilding your existing box.
