Has anyone come across a vented disc which will bolt straight on?

Adaptor brackets for the callipers seem commonsense enough. I reckon that even I could get some made up properly! Not so sure about machining big discs/hub though. It's a route I'd like to avoid if possible.

How about those pictures?

The next step in the Volvo I'm working is to fit 240 4 pot calipers.

You will need bigger master cylinder, to get good pedal. Both me and 340GLT found this out..
And You need calipers for vented discs..
Is it true that a 240 master cylinder will work? Would it just be a case of bolting it on?

From memory teh 240 has a different bolt spacing to a 340. The best bet would to be also use teh servo. The other thing you will need is a presure reducing valve (240 again) for teh rear end or the back wheels will lock before the fronts.

Hi Dai,

How come the rears will lock first without the valve? I thought that with bigger callippers on the front, the front would lock first.

Or is it to do with the fact that more master cylinder travel is required to move the bigger front pistons the same ammount? By which time the backs have already bitten.

Where abouts within the system would the pressure reducing valve go?
