Re: vw wheels
As long as the offsets close, you should be ok man.
Vws just use bolts instead of studs and nuts. Get some alloy nuts (scoobys are a good fit) and you should be fine man.
Plenty of folk have run vw rims on 300s with no reported probs. Offset is the only sticking point man.

Re: vw wheels
I have 14" steels from a VW Passat, and a Seat Toledo. ET38 so it's pretty much a perfect match. Seems to work fine enough without doing anything to the center bore size mismatch (got ex-Toledo winter tyres under the 340 now...) but I guess I'll only stop worrying after getting spigot rings at some point. Of course with steel rims there are no problems with nuts, conical seats.

6 feb 2003 ..... (driving with 80 km/h into a street lamp isn't a good idea)
it was a kind of project car from my dad like Anjo's 340 (volvodspec).
0-60 in 8 sec isn't bad for a 73 passat...
pioneer radio in it with 3 amplifiers and an equlizer
costume made side skirts, koni load-a-justers, audi GTE engine + 5 speed + supspension + brakes + interior
even an alarm was in it

but I think we are going off-topic
Re: vw wheels
Thats a real shame, sounds like it was a bit of an animal
Off topic is fine, as i think we've expended all the pics of 300's wearing VW/Audi wheels in the pic above
