The "complete flat section" (the horn push thingy) can be pulled off. Then you need a rather large socket, I forget which one exactly. Put the steering lock on, and remember what position it was in before you remove it
Cheers

It's a 25 if I remember rightly. If you can't get a long enough extension for the socket (like me) then use a spanner with some mole grips attached at a 90-degree angle.

put the steering lock on
after you got the nut loose, it might be stuck as hell and when you first put the steering lock on you can break it!; just undo the nut 2 or 3 full strokes so the nut is still a long way on the bolt. then hold the steering wheel with 2 hands and pull like hell.. the steering wheel pops loose and because the nut wasn't taken completely off, you don't find yourself flying to the back of the car holding the steering wheel

When you pull off the big horn button (just grab the edges and pull towards you), the wires will still be attached, just pull them off and wrap in tape or disconnect the battery. When you put the horn button back in you either have to blast the horn or disconnect the battery then anyway. I usually just blast the horn
