can i take it off as i want to replace it with something different or is it fixed?? if i can how??

an 8 ball i had in my old mk2 polo lol and is it really as simple as pull "hard"???

It is mate, yeah.
And Im running an 8 ball shifter.

Its just a push fit on splines.
Dont pull from the reverse collar though, just the knob itself. (ooo-er!)

The shifter knob on my 340 came off easily, but the one on the 360 was sealed on with glue or some such inconvenience and took the strength and determination of filthyjohn to get off.
If you need a knob pulling, go straight to the proffessionals.

Put it in gear and put your back into it FTW.

lol done it (after a few choice words and having punched myself in the gob when it finnaly gave lol) and drill out a pool 8 ball put a ring of some soft plastic and its on and feels mucho better lol cheers guys

yeah i had one in my old polo which i had to tap a thread into and was slightly dissapointed when i thought i couldnt lol but whoopee its wikid
