head lights 340

right im having an arugment with my parents
i can turn my lights off fully when the engine is running
she keeps saying some one has messed with the wiring
i keep saying they havent can anyone else turn the light fully off on there 340

You are correct. I am almost certain the 340 did not have day time running lights. (not in the UK anyway)

yeah man. Lights turn off on 300s.
Im sure some old volvos run constant sidelights though.
remember asking my old man about it when i was a nipper.

day running lights came in when the swedes swaped the side of the road they come in as a safety measure.

so yes 300s etc lights are non permant, turn them on and off as you wish.
