Hella wiring... Lost instructions... Help please

On the back of the grill is 1 brown and 1 greyish wire per light, I have a universal fitting kit and everything else, can someone break it down to retard steps for me please

You need to be a bit more specific, the standard lights are Hella, do you have a grill aux set? are these driving lights, in which case you would want them powered directly from a spare fuse via a relay triggered by the mainbeam lights.

Are the actually fog lights or driving lights? I thought they were driving lights as they are too high for fog lights.

Now if they are driving lights, you can do that, but the long arm of the law will give a ticket out if rumbled as driving lights should only come on with main beam.

I suggest you wire them in please the law and the MOT man - saves a lot of hassle.

Borrow one generic wiring diagram:



*Disconnect battery before starting work*

On you lamps:
Brown = earth/ground
Grey = +12V
Headlamp main beam wire = White/Blue

Does that make sense to you? So when the main beam circuit is on, the relay will close (switch on) and the power will get to the extra lights.
