Upgrading front speakers
You'll have to make up mounts for anything bigger than the stock 4". 5 1/2" will fit with standard window winders, 6"s with electric windows. My 6" JBL components fit fine with a single ring of 18mm, but deeper stuff will need a second ring. My other car has 6x9's in the front door pockets, but that was only to proove a point, they sound cr*p compared.
Problem comes is I'll be swapping over my daily driver again soon, so need to swap the speakers
Although I seem to have just (literally as I'm writing this) been delivered a set of 170mm Pioneers... hmmm... best find out where these have come from, I've not ordered any!!!

Get a whole front set, a much better upgrade than just two speakers, really worth the extra cash.. I have this set in my car: works quite well!

A photo from when it was "grandma ed" looks quite different now..

I am glad i have kept them as the car is pretty noisy without rear interior and sounddeadening, almost always on max volum these days
