Hi, my 340 1989 1.7 is going in for mot soon (well tomorow) and i need to sort this, the hazard flash at normal rate but the indicators flash really fast. Wheres the unit that controls this? Pic would be very helpful if possible.
Thanks Phil
Indicators flashing to fast. Need to sort it by tomorow
Re: Indicators flashing to fast. Need to sort it by tomorow
Do both sides flash fast or just one? Speed is controlled by resistance of the bulbs so will speed up if there is a bulb blown

That sounds like an earth fault...
First thing I'd check is the rear bulb holders, get a bit of fine emery on the earth tags along the side of the bulb holders. Failing that, it'll be a case of checking round with a multimeter, the flasher unit I'd have thought would be fine if it works correct speed sometimes. If you do want to get at it to check, it's under the dash, the relay itself is clipped up in a group of 3/4. Easiest way to get the right one is to put the hazards on and feel which one is clicking.
