Heater Motor? Wires?

Excuse my lack of mechanical language. I'm a complete noob.
My 340 heater wont work.
I've tested the fan motor thing, with extra wire sparking off the battery and it works.
I've also been told that the voltage through the cables is weak and by the time it cycles throughout the motor isn't receiving full power.
I know this isn't a great description but has anyone any ideas of what problems I might have?
Any possibilities?

I've not yet tried another motor on it yet because I don't know anybody with one.

I'd take a guess at the resistor being dead. It's the curly wire thing with a heat shield thing found inside the heater box, mine didn't look visibly broken, but i replaced it with a good SH unit and it's worked since.

there's a thermic switch present in that resistor board, if that gets dirty the heater motor doesn't work.

does it work if you put the switch to the "3" position?

Thanks for the responses guys.
I will open the box tomorrow and have a poke around myself before having someone else look at it.
While I was out about an hour ago. The motor and heater worked when I switched it onto position 2. I then turned it to 3 and it cut out. Now it wont turn on again.

It's not just cold weather will be a pain, but even at night times the windows steam up fairly easy.

Thanks,
Jason
