Interior Lighting

Post by Hollywood » 27 Dec 2010 11:16 pm

Hi folks,

I've been given 2 light strips.
Adhesive with + and - terminal wires.
How can I wire these up to my 340 (5dr)? I'm probably going to position them above foot pedals and equivalent on passenger side somewhere, or around door sill location.
I have wiring diagrams from the forum, but it's a little bit of a pickle. Any advice?

How can I connect them so they turn on when I have my car lights on?
In the future I think I'll have them on a switch. (Got too many empty switch spots  )

Heres a pic:

Thanks,
Jason

if they're LED i'd wire them parralel to your normal interior light!
that way you can switch it on if you want to, and when a door is opened they'll automatically go on.

Hi mate.
You could probably also wire them into the side light part of your headlight switch.
This way, when you turn your side lights on, they would also come on.

Thanks guys!

My interior light has no switch and doesn't work. Didn't come with the car when I bought it lol.
(thats if you mean the one at my rear mirror) I use a 210000000000000000000000000000000 candle torch at night.

Yes thats the way I think i'll wire it up mark. I've just to sort out a couple of other problems...
My heater blowers still not functional. Yes. I journeyed through the snow with no heat. :) (sorry I havn't been in contact and on forums in a while) I have sent you a PM mark.
My headlights aren't working, side lights work, and full beam works when I hold switch in.

Thanks,
J

It's something that everyone has just started to notice, get the crimp connector changed as soon as else the fuse box will start to get hot and screw up too.
