Instrument lamps not working

Post by CBA » 18 Jan 2011 08:39 am

Working fine, parked 20 minutes and dash illunination wouldn't come on. all warning lights, switch illum, heater lights, glovebox, courtesy and ashtray work.
no blown fuses.

haynes manual wiring diagram is clear as mud to stevie wonder, what feeds the lamps?

extra contacts in h/l switch in parallel with h/l relay circuit?
wired in parallel with h/l power circuit?

run off a part of h/l relay in different circuit?
??? :-(

Get them out at the weekend and clean all the connections up. The problem will return.

took off the connectors and bent the contacts out a bit* then put everything back expertly so not to resquash the now viable contacts. dash nice and bright.
