Alternator blades - essential?
Of course they add cooling but how sensitive are they? The seem to be rubbing against something which is a problem I thought I'd fixed. I'll have it out tomorrow and see where but is grinding a few mm off the blades a big worry?

Nope, had to file mine down a lil, was catching on the housing, made an awful racket! Problem sovled by filing and no more squeak. I woudln't just remove it though. A bit of cooling never hurt anyone.

huh that's interesting - my adjuster bolt has actually snapped off at the bottom due to vibration I'm going to make a guess that it's related. Wheres my welder?

360? Should it not have a side clamp nut? Shouldn't rattle or snap normally. You can get replacement bolts in B&Q.Speedy88 wrote:huh that's interesting - my adjuster bolt has actually snapped off at the bottom due to vibration I'm going to make a guess that it's related. Wheres my welder?
