Heated seats

hey guys can anyone give me any pointers to why my heated seats are not working checked fuses in engine bay all fine. the car is new and im new to Volvo is there another fuse box inside the car oh and is there meant to be a light that comes on the heated switch button as mine do not any help would be great

Yeah, they get squashed after a while ... Try testing with a multimeter to see if current is getting to the pads?

Yeah, after 20 years of fat mum in laws sitting on them they seem to brake ha

Yep, my passenger side works fine and drivers side takes about half an hour to work. I love surprising people with it :mrgreen:

is there any other faults of the heated seat system and is there a fuse box inside the car

There is a thermal cutout/cutin in the seat that is the main control, although some cars have switches aswell. These can go faulty aswell as the matrix, the matrix can also get bunched up at the back of the seat. If you want a replacement try a scrap 940, they seem to be more reliable except for the switches.
