Removal of rear bumper 1987 model

Guys, what is the procedure for this. Where do I start?

From directly below at the back.
Undo the many bolts and it will slide out.
Wear eye protection though, and be prepared for swearing.
Many long,rusty, bolts and iirc access gets a bit tight.

Use 6 sided sockets if you can, you want to break the rust without rounding them.

Agreed, but it still wont stop the swearing, especially towing eye side. Easier on a saloon though imo. Although the last one I removed on a car going to scrap I cut through the bolts through the boot floor with an angle grinder :lol: :lol:

There are 2 long thinish bolts on either side and they do tend to break. Wire brush the threads down as much as possible (small stiff brush and a drill attachment) and of course freeing oil.

Undo the 4 bolts holding the brackets to the carrier IMO. I have my car stripped pretty bare - bar those damn bracket bolts that go through the chassis!
