Is there any difference between 340 and 360 tailgates? ... I have a 360 with a smashed rear window, and am being quoted almost more than the car is worth to replace it. So I figured that if I could find a 300 that is being broken for parts, I'd just buy the tailgate with window, hopefully working out cheaper.

If they are the same, does anybody know of a 340/360 being broken at the moment?

The only difference is between sedan and hatchback, so all hatchback are interchangeable, and the same for all sedans

I've got a few tail gates

There are 2 types of hatch back tail gate. Bonded window (86 on approx) and rubber sealed window (to 85 approx). They might be interchangeable but will lead to a different body style / curves etc. The rear spoiler for the different hatches also must be matched to the tailgate type (I think).

I have a mk3 glt spoiler on my mk2 tailgate, that's just a matter of drilling holes The two are interchangeable, but they have different locking mechanism, and the other difference is indeed the window

MkIII tailgates certainly fit on a MkII. but they do look weird in my eyes ... I prefer not to mix styles It's like MkIII wheels on MkIs or vice versa ...
