340 meshed grill

Post by Si-340t » 21 Oct 2011 08:12 pm

Keep seeing these on different 340's from time to time and I quite like the look of them and wouldn't mind one. Few Q's

Who makes them?
Where can I get one?
How much?

Cheers

Ye, used the halfords mesh a few times and looks good.

Thought these were proper made grills as I'm after as much air to the front mount as possible. If there not available I'll look at makin my own.

Adam made mine. You're just best off chopping up an old fire guard or going to B&Q or something. Smaller mesh works better. Be prepared for it to be flimsey.

made mine using just the frame part of the origional grille and a bit of mesh from the motor factors. Hot glue and a tin of black spray later and it Looked pretty good i think :?

Withstood a 60mph Pigeon too :D

I'm currently trying to make one like Adam's by chopping out the bits behind the badge and making the rest up with a bit of plastic welding (if i ever get the hang of it) and a load of filler :D

I didn't realise the middle of the grille came out, I'll have a go at it once I've got some mesh. Did my old vrs grill and bumper so can't be as hard as them.

Cheers guys

I can see this is quite an old thread now but i had a crack at doing it myself...didnt go to well -_- fortunataley you can't notice my "handywork" unless you look closely or I tell you about it lol. Id be interested in buying a pre-done one if someone got one handy? or a spare normal one for another go lol
