Can the black rubber bits that run along the bumper bars be removed?. Is it any easy task. I'm currently restoring a 360GLT and desperately short of bumpers in Queensland Australia....just do not won't to knacker the one I've got. can anyone help with info

What model year is your car? The bumpers changed from MY 86 on ...

No problem, if I can do it anyone can I took some MkIII bumpers apart last summer:





... and got them back together again without any trouble. A flat-bladed screwdriver helps getting the lugs of the black plastic strip to "unclick", but it's easiest if you take the metal bumper bar off first.
