Mot failure

I took my car to get mot'd last Saturday and it had failed not on rust or anything major it failed on the headlight the bloke sed that web he put up against the machine it was a big blur and not a line and a flick off how suppose be he said it most prob the hids I got in so changed them back to normal bulb took it today and it still no change . Now iv got till Saturday before got pay for retest , and got no clue Wat it cud be . Cheers

Maybe the hids have deposited something on the back of the glass, or its cracked from the heat.

I've checked for cracks or any damage on glass but there both fine.

This also happens when there's moisture on the glass. Check for condensation.

Also check for de-silvering of the headlight reflectors.
