Again i'd say the front valance is a part well worth doing, especially if it was somehow doable to just chop out the old rotten one and have it as a bolt on part?

I'd be up for one of them, but finding a suitable one for using as a mold may be troublesome?

We need to find someone with a replacement front panel to use :D Even if it was just a mk3 one, its better than nothing :D

You'd want to replace the valance with some form of mahoosive box section first, then stick a cosmetic GRP panel in front of it to hide it.

The front valence is part of the main structure, rust usually hits the main front panel that is part of it. Anyone know enough to say it doesn't matter, or does it need to be made cosmetic only?

Well I know it's structural and it matters.

It's a bit like folk in the bad old days sticking flip fronts on Minis.....and not bothering to cross-brace the inner wings properly.

The front valance is structual and would need metal work welding into its place.
