warning light
warning light
my warning light turns on and of while driving uphill with the throttle quite far in
and now it has started showing/blinking while driving normally on straights, starts when the revs get over 2000 rpm
anyone know what it could be?
i dont notice anything when the light shows, sometimes a little less power maybe, but that could be something in my head... paranoia may be getting me

Re: warning light
((!)) is the brake fluid as Tom says. If its low, the light will flicker or come on under acceleration or uphill.
Re: warning light
It's the "surprise" light implemented by volvo in 1972. Basically if the Volvo doesn't expect something to happen, it will be surprised (such as when you start going fast) and let you know via the dash light. Hope that helps.
Re: warning light
its that sign.. good to know, then it must be leaking, started coming on more frequently lately...volvosneverdie wrote:((!)) is the brake fluid as Tom says. If its low, the light will flicker or come on under acceleration or uphill.

Re: warning light
Check your rear drums... the cylinders in there often start to leak

Re: warning light
i remember thinking it was some sort of 'shift-light' as it only came on when accelerating hard. Turned out it were the rear cylinders.

Re: warning light

and its only one brake circut in the rear, seems kinda weird to me, but it works
also, my car turns a bit to the right when braking, so gotto fix my brakes and calipers in the front to
