Hi all,
We are currently having problems with our otherwise reliable 1983 Volvo GLT. When we turn the key it fires and starts perfectly, but then immediately cuts out/dies when you let the key go back to its normal "on" position.
It seems like an ignition ballast problem, but we cant seem to find the damn thing. Does anyone have any idea whether the 360 GLT even has a ballast and if so where we might find it?? Any input would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Nick

Hello Nick, Can't give you an answer off the top of my head, but do look in the technical section for a Volvo "green book" PDF scan on the electrics.
Re: 360 GLT ballast?
I'm not sure but on a mate of mine's '83 GLT with B19E, he had an ignition ballast and was bolted somewhere near the air flow meter, not sure if that was standard or added later
pretty sure no renix ignition ones had them
