Re: Bumpers!
This is right and wrong! When my brother had his 360 for his first car he put mk3 bumpers on his mk2 and in my opinion it looked rather good as they were colour coded with the car in that nice maroon . I would imagine he had to change the trumpets over for it to work, I can't remember as this was 10 years ago! But ill try and find some picsSpeedy88 wrote:Different shape, different holes in different places. They don't fit dude, sorry

Best appreciated when open.
I probably should have specified ladies legs in there too. [+=] "embarrarrased emoticon"[].com

Re: Bumpers!
Hm, on a late MkII with the larger wing mirrors and those 14" GLT alloys you'd barely notice the difference if it wasn't for the hatch and the rear lights ...

Re: Bumpers!
im having to do this conversion too, as some n*b thinks its alright to take my money and not give me the mk2 bumpers i gave it to him for! >:( But anyway, to do it you need:
mk3 bumpers
mk3 front bumper irons, the front bumper bolts to them and they bolt to the front of the chassis rails, like a mini crumple zone i believe, the rears use the same mounts
mk3 bumper clips, theyre on the side of the wings front and back, the bumpers slot onto them, to stop the sides flapping about
When you fit the mk3 stuff, you take the metal trim piece out that runs along under the front lights, above the bumper. Change the bumper irons, theres a bolt underneath for the driver side one. Change the wing clips. The mk2 clips have only two securing holes, the mk3 ones have three. However the top two holes on the mk3 clips line up with the original holes, you then only have to secure them through the bottom hole, self tapper, or another bolt will do You have to change both front and rear. The mk3 front bumper has extra indicators in the sides, leave them as reflectors or wire them up for extra indicatory flashyness xD At the back, the original mk2 rear number plate lights are in the bumper, on the mk3s they moved the number plate lights to the ends of the rear light clusters. You can either modify the mk3 bumpers to take the mk2 lights, or fit some LED strip lights to the bumper or ends of the original clusters, or something along those lines Moving back to the front bumper, the original number plate is on the mk2 bumper, on the mk3s its on the front valance, you need to attach it to your mk3 bumper or stick using number plate sticky pads to you front valance The grill is different, but still fits, the bottom locating pins just slot behind the top edge of the bumper. Apart from that unless ive missed something, your all done
Hope this helps, Thomas.............

Before:
After:
Just rub it on with a cloth, then wipe it away with another cloth. Job done I've just done my GLT rear wing and that came up a treat

Re: Bumpers!
and thoroughly was out the cloth with water when you're done with it, linseed oil is a potential fire starter!
Re: Bumpers!
Thanks, ordered some linseed oil today! Should come up good, that picture of yours looks amazing! Whats the durability like, does it wash off?
