How to fit dash clocks... Tutorial**
How to fit dash clocks... Tutorial**
I thought that i would make a little thread on how to change the clock cluster easily. *This is just the way that i do it!
Firstly you must undo the two screws on the top of the clocks and remove all of the pins that hold the plastic piece of dash around the steering column so that you can get your hand up the back of the clocks... Then you can get your hand up the back of the clocks so that you can remove the speedo cable and the two multi ports that go into the back of them.
Next you need to remove the speedo from the original clocks (if you need to as i did). Firstly unscrew the back of the clocks to remove the plastic lens... Then you need to unscrew the four bolts that are in the back of the speedo... Repeat this to remove the speedo from the new clocks and then you will need switch them over by replacing the four bolts... CONTINUE ---> ---> ---> --->

So once the speedos are in and swaped over...
Hope this helps and remember this is just the way that i have done it and you may have different ways but i thought that this would be be usefull.
Ben..
Screw the plastic back onto the base by replacing all the screws...
Lastly you can put the clocks back in the dash and push in the two multi sockets and the speedo in the back of the clocks. Then replace all the screws and push pins in the plastic covers and they should be working!

Thanks for that! Perhaps it's worth mentioning that it's a lot easier to remove the instrument cluster if you take off the steering wheel ...

I wonder which of us is 0.1875mm out... it wouldn't be the first imperial thing on the car...
They didn't standardise steering wheel nuts like they did with seat belts did they?
