Post by Benfraser » 29 Jun 2012 08:26 pm

I ahve been looking at bucket seats and have been considering a few. I think the first on the list would be the cobra monaco's:

Any thoughts anyone?

The problem is with buckets, you pay for what you get. A cheap seat, is just that, cheap, uncomfortable, badly made, not long lasting. Buy the best you can afford, even if you cant afford it, save up some more :D Trust me, we bought a £150 OMP TRS for one of our race cars, and an £400 OMP GRIP for the other, lets just say we no longer have the TRS  If you can, buy a pair of these :D

Or get what i've got which are equally as comfortable :D I got mine second hand but there mint condition. You just have to keep any eye out on the bay :D

Sounds like a good idea. Plus if your on stiff suspension the proper bucket seats should be comfortable so the ride shouldnt be too harsh :) Plus nice new matching buckets look the t*ts!

Believe it or not, when i tried my cobra's in the car, they bolted straight down to the original mounts. So i wonder whether you wouldnt need too? All be it i was sitting to high for my liking, and thats why im now much lower, but its still very simple to then just bolt them in. If not, its very easy to get some flat steel and the original runners, ass some metal glue and a hole or two and you've got some subframes :)
