Start with looking at the chassis plate...

Right-hand side:

First number = Market Code 15 - UK - (and Ireland too oddly enough as the Diesel has a 15 stamped there too)
Second number = Paint code 042-5
Third number = Trim code 6272

If Bob's is light wheat, then it should be 145 something.

I can't be bothered to take a picture of the BB chassis plate, the paint code is bottom right in the "service" box as mine has 019-5 there and that's Black.

The rest you can find with Google...

Best appreciated when open.
I probably should have specified ladies legs in there too. [+=] "embarrarrased emoticon"[].com

I researched them a few years back for a publication of the Belgian Volvo club.
Especially the early ones, '76-'78, proved difficult to find out.
1978 343 Silver is code 130
1982 343 Wheat is code 145

The number after the dash indicates the paint manufacturer.

Cheers Guys....

The info is much appreciated.
I don't know when "EFY" (wheat) will get a new coat but I will need the Silver for "MARILYN" sooner.

@ MAC....

Thank you so much for the Volvo color code book you presented to the DCA Museum Archive Library.
It certainly will come in handy when we re-spray EFY and MARILYN. :D :D
