Hi guys,
I'm having an issue with my 340 and it's roll cage, and wondered if you guys had any suggestions?
The front cage feet have three bolts through them. Two of the bolts are perfect, but the centre bolt goes straight through the jacking point. Unfortunately, I can't get the minimum diameter bolt through the hole, so the jacking point is going to have to go.
I'm considering chopping out the front jacking point and moving it further up or down the car, so it is out of the way of the bolts. Has anyone fabricated their own jacking point? Any suggestions as to where to place it?
Thanks
Matt

Re: Relocating front jacking points
Never had to do it on a 340 but I would be tempted make a jacking point from scratch. I asume you will be using a trolley jack rather than the factory one?

Re: Relocating front jacking points
If you depanel the heavy plate there is nothing special on the chassis except a gap in the bottom seam. There are quite alot of spotwelds holding it on. The only issue you might have is if you move it so that the edge is hanging over a floor panel dimple.
