Saloon boot lids are radically different, you won't mistake them, no glass for a start.

3 door = hatch
5 door = hatch
4 door = saloon

3 door and 5 door hatch are the same, but were revised in 1986 with a bonded window and slightly different shape. Should fit though, but I've never tried.

Saloon boot lids are all the same.

On a 3/5 door hatch, the rear window opens as part of the tailgate.

4 door saloons have a fixed rear window.

Door and tailgate/boot are not the same kind of thing.

OP is obviously refering to a door!

I mean, the rear doors of the 4 door and 5 door aren't the same?
The small glass they have can't be switched between versions??

The fixed one.

Ok he used 'rear door' and 'hatch' in the same sentence, I'm getting old you know.

As to the rear-passenger-side-doors they are the same between a hatchback and a saloon. I have hatchback doors in my saloon.
