Total respray of 360glt
Just looking at respraying my white 360.....any ideas whether it is wise to revolve the trim (that runs from the front window along root to hatch...sorry dony know name) as is this easy to source...or can I just use universal fitting stuff. Can anyone advise....

I am also keen to find out.
I try to carefully take the gutter trim of when it is above 16-18 deg C whenever I come across them.
The chromed ones are virtually impossible to find however.

Are they easy to remove.. If so how is it done
Re: Total respray of 360glt
I had to remove mine as it was falling off and flailing about on the motorway. Mine had already snapped in places anyway, so wasn't fussed about damage. It came off quite easily, but places where it wasn't snapped did buckle the chrome upon removal. I think with possibly a heat gun and a bit of patience it should be easy enough to remove. It's effectively hooked on, so pulling from the bottom up seemed to do fine.

Don't use a heatgun as you'll heat it up locally.
Best thing to do is to leave it in a warm garage (18+ deg) or do it on a nice warm day in the shade.
Start at the back of the car.
Using your fingers or a thin wooden stick carefully pull the bottom of the guttertrim out until it is just past the 'side' of the metal gutter.
Be aware that the plastic guttertrim is rather fragile and the metal version tends to warp/ twist.
Repeat this moving slowly forward for about 1/2-3/4 meter.
Go back to the back and starting from the back carefully work the trim upwards until it is of the gutter.
Go back to where you left of and continue pulling the guttertrim out for a further 10-30 cm.
Go back to where the trim is of the gutter and slowly work the trim further upwards.
Repeat until the piece of trim is off the car.
If done carefully the trim fill not/ barely have warped.
When one installs the trim it is wise to coat the gutter and the inside of the trim with some veseline (acid free petroleum jelly). It will make the installation easier and keep water and rust out.

So....it's not stuck down? Do you have to use adhesive to stick it down when refitting it.
