looking ti buy one for my 340 vario as found to be faulty... can anyone help with a part number maybe so i can do some internet searching for one please?

then you probably need a new throttle cable...
for the time being take the yellow/green wire mounted to the kickdownswitch and make a new wire to it wich is connected to a earth, that will get you driving without high rpm's... for overtaking simply press the low gear hold switch for the same effect.

on my car it is brown wire??????? this is the connection on the bulkhead where the cable runs through the middle ???

you need to look in the cabin, above the gaspedal; there is a contact with the yellow/green wire; that's the one you need to ground

oh right. so leave the one on under the bonnet.... sorry didnt know that... will give it a try and then see if i can get a new cable and switch.

Maybe you have a clip missing? Maybe that end of the cable could be disassembled and cleaned up? Sorry can't remember everything (I've just got up! )
