part numbers??

can I get hold of part numbers for the 340 at all. there is only one part I need to get hold of now, but not having any luck and need it asap.

this is for the kickdown switch.. trying to see if I can get nos or alternative part

As may have been mentioned before. There is no part number for it as it is part of the throttle cable on both manual* and automatic cars.

*manual cars have the same cable but the earth interrupt is not used.

will a new cable come with switch?? or is just the cable?? as manual will not need kickdown ?? or am I just taking out of my ...... well ..you know :D

...and what is shown in the pic.

You get the inner/outer whole cable assembly from nipple to nipple. If I remember rightly, Sion posted some pics up whilst I was away. :wink:

well may as well try a new one .. any idea where these can be found. lolcal stockist out of stock or do not list them

Well that's going to be hard work unless you have one handy.

Given that it's now over 20 years since the last one rolled off the line, I suggest you go back to testing and eliminating, rather than changing everything in sight. Because changing everything in sight is a sledgehammer to crack and walnut. It's also tells you zero about what the problem is. Costs a packet. Some parts are made of unobtainium, so it'll be second-hand or nothing. Second hand parts may/may not be working either.
