Hey guys, how do you fit an aftermarket Rpm gauge in a Volvo 340 1988?

I'm not being funny here, but the instructions will be in the box...
However, is there any reason not to change the huge clock in the dash panel for an equally big Volvo/VDO RPM gauge? The wiring is all there. If you still need a clock, fit a Volvo one in the centre dash opposite the cigarette lighter.

A late instrument cluster with a rev counter isn't hard to find on the internet ... Have a look at some of the Dutch websites or the V3C:

Would be worth getting one sent in, as it's very easy to fit.

They aren't that hard to obtain for an '88.

All 340s have a conventional rev counter signal wired from the Renix to the dash. Just splice into it somewhere, although as others have said you can just switch dashes for less than the cost of a rev counter.
